  • Sketch5 (p5): Write the answer to these 2 questions in your sketch book using complete sentences.
    • What is the theme of your collage?
    • What element of art is dominant and how have you emphasized it?
  • Advanced Students - your Artist of the Week is also Van Gogh. Choose 2 different Artworks by him to sketch today.
  • Sketch3: Answer the Questions about Vincent Van Gogh. - Part 1 (to be continued next class)
  • Sketch4: The Van Gogh painting of your choice
  • Sketch5: Something to Honor America's Veterans

Today's Activities - p2 & 3 SIA Comp Art classes ONLY

DLT: By the end of class, students will be able to create a Photomontage of images that follow a theme. They will demonstrate this by completing and turning in their Masque of the Red Death Project.
  1. Paychecks 12 & 13
  2. If you have not done so, Add the Van Gogh painting of your choice to your Artist Studies Google doc. Make sure to document the source of the image
  3. Check Paper Portfolio
  4. Begin Collecting Images for Masque of the Red Death Project (Directions - gDoc). Begin Project
    Make a copy of this gDoc, Name it RedDeath Images and share it with dandabikeman and your team
  5. Submit RedDeath-YourName.psd using this Google Form

  • Revise Collage Project Reflection
  • Complete additional Halloween Text Tutorials for additional points.
  • Update or revise your Artist Studies Google Doc to include the artists in this order:
    Claude Monet artwork on top, then Photomontage, Pumpkin Sculpture, Romare Bearden, Henri Matisse, Seveso, Banksy, Rivera, Da Vinci, Warhol, and Picasso (on the bottom). Make sure to document the source of each image. Then ask to have it re-graded (as well as past paychecks)

  • Advanced Students - your Artist of the Week is also Van Gogh. Choose 2 different Artworks by him to sketch today.
